This message transitions from the concepts taught in the last five sermons to an introduction of practical steps for victorious living.

Practical application must proceed from the realities God has established in our behalf at the cross. We do not create those realities; we receive their validity by faith based on what God has declared in His word. That is the sound footing of grace that we must proceed from. On the other hand we do not stop there. We trust the Holy Spirit to make those truth experientially real in our daily lives.

This message begins to talk about how we do that. First in Romans 8:5 we understand that there are two ways Christians live. One robs us of kingdom blessings; the other brings us into life and peace in the here and now. One choice is to live “according to the sinful nature”; the other is to live “in accordance with the Spirit”. But what is the crucial thing that determines which path we take as a Christian?
